OUR HISTORY

The 611 MRI story is one of innovation, entrepreneurship, and a commitment to patient and doctor satisfaction. 611 MRI was initially founded by two State College radiologists, Dr. Olney and Dr. Nicholas in 1976, known as 611 Radiology Associates. They installed the first MRI in Centre County in 1990 at 611 University Drive, State College, PA. In 1997 they installed an open MRI and in 2000 added a high field 1.5T MRI. In 2001 they installed their first CT scanner. The Altoona location opened in 2004 with a high field MRI, CT, x-ray and ultrasound. An open MRI was added in 2005 and then upgraded to a high field open MRI in 2012. The State College facility was sold in 2015.

611 MRI Altoona continues to keep pace with advanced imaging technology and is committed to providing physicians and their patients convenient, expert and accurate services in a comfortable and non-clinical environment.
